@wilky999 When i returned from Disneyworld i sent an email outlining my experience after being declined DAS. I shared some things that went well and some CMs that were great and also some things that did not work. I also wanted to share my thooughts on the process of the DAS call, the questions and the alternative accomodations that do not work. I also shared the idea that not all disabled support needs to be the same and that Disney could bespoke it by person if they did it in the right way. I got a call back from Disney and spoke with the same person as the last call. We went through my points and she said i had given Disney some things to think about. Especially the bespoke support and changes to the process. It may have been lip service or they may be gathering feedback. Food Allergies and Special Dietary Needs
@safedisneyfood I used to be so worried to order at places that didnt have an allergy menu, but this went so well! The cast member was incredibly kind and so helpful to work with. No Allergy Menu can make things tricky… here’s how I ordered without knowing what was available Also not pictured is at the beginning of this video I asked the cast member at the mobile order window “hey , I have food allergies. Can I talk to someone so I don’t have to wait in line”. I ended up waiting 15 minutes total. Part of that was waiting for the allergy trained cast member, part of it was them checking ingredients, part of it was my order being made. Also not in the video was the second conversation about getting the ice cream bar from the back to avoid cross contact. I always ask about new containers, new scoops etc to avoid any cross contact with cones or other items that have my allergens. Appreciate you @Gluten Free and the Mouse for your helpful guide! This was at Disneyland California at Clarabelle’s Hand Scooped Ice Cream.
