The RTQ Database was created as an way to keep track of disabled guests’ experiences in the parks. by date, without the Disability Access Service (DAS) accommodation since the DAS was changed earlier in 2024. The database is crowdsourced via anonymous surveys, and discussed experiences of many people with varying disabilities. The hope is to track the evolution of how attractions-based “alternate accommodations” are being handled by the attractions CMs – we’re looking for some kind of consistency to emerge that allows disabled guests to have some kind of idea of how things may go at various attractions.
This page covers attractions at EPCOT, in Orlando, Florida. To read important updates and disclaimers about the RTQ Database, or to navigate to another park’s page, visit the RTQ Database Landing Page. To complete the survey, visit the RTQ Menu.

General Notes (1)
WEEK OF 6/30/24, party of 6, three guests w/ wheelchairs, one minor: – speaking about accessing ride queues with their party “With wheelchairs, you just have to come up and wait. Sometimes you wait and wait and wait and wait depending on how many people are already in front of you. With three of us and wheelchairs it’s a long process and it’s not fair nor is it equal.”
¡Celebración Encanto! (1)
7/22/24, Party of 5, 1 disabled, “tried to sit on concrete wall- too hot, burned through my pants, fake turf stabbed me in the legs and offered no core support, ended finding a table and chairs with poor viewing but in a seated position.”
World Celebration

6/20/24, party of 2. “Kindly and politely asked what accommodations they can offer me since it would be unsafe for me to wait in the line… [The Cast Member] offered meet at the merge, but agreed to a return time quickly when questioned.”
WEEK OF 6/30/24, party of 4, 1 disabled, at least one mobility device – Survey respondent indicated that the CM attempted to help them access this attraction, but did not share specifics. This may be because of the separate entrance for mobility device users.
7/4/24, party of 4 (3 adults – 2 disabled, and 1 minor) One disabled adult uses an ECV: Survey respondent indicated that they were sent through the exit because of the mobility device.
8/1/24, party of 2 adults, 1 disabled and the other uses a mobility device, Survey respondent indicated that they were sent through the exit because of the mobility device.

They did share that at Spaceship Earth, Living with the Land, The Seas with Nemo & Friends, and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure “Cast members offered standard help… [but] many times the cast members would move wheelchairs after loading and not return them when we were disembarking. At times the chair was very far away which made it hard to transfer or even find the chair as others are entering the ride.”

6/17/24, party of 2 (1 disabled adult, 1 minor) One disabled adult uses an ECV: Survey respondent indicated that they were told no accommodations available at this attraction.
Journey into Imagination With Figment (3)
6/6/24, party of 4, 3 with disabilities (NOTE: one member of this party DID have DAS, but the respondent indicated that they were not with that party member for a large part of the day): “I was mentally unable to wait in the line as it was overwhelming despite the short wait time. My brother and dad were told to wait in the line as I was to just wait until I got a phone call from them to join them at the mix point as I walked through lighting lane. It helped not being in the line but it wasn’t enjoyable and it felt lonely and isolating.”
6/20/24, party of 2. “they told me that my friend should wait in line while I sit nearby. When he gets close the the merge point he can call me and a cm will escort me through the LL. SO… we both waited alone for 30 mins (and I went to cry to the blue umbrella who wasn’t much more helpful).”
7/4/24, party of 4 (3 adults – 2 disabled, and 1 minor) One disabled adult uses an ECV: Survey respondent indicated that they were told no accommodations available at this attraction.

6/1/2024, party of 2, both disabled, “Nothing was offered. We were told we could leave the line and come back at which we experienced humiliation insults and injury”
6/10/2024, party of 1, Survey respondent indicated that they were told no accommodations available at this attraction.
6/20/24, party of 2. “I approached the CM at the front of the line and told them “I was a former DAS recipient who no longer qualifies, but I need an accommodation because I cannot stand in this line for my own safety.” [This] conversation was pointed but not confrontational (Guardians). She repeated the meet at the merge option. I told her why that didn’t feel like a reasonable option for us, she suggested Genie+, and I flat out told her that it is a violation of the ADA to require a disabled person to pay for an accommodation… to which I got eyebrows, but no further words. Finally she, like all the rest grudgingly offered a return time.” Additional info for this specific experience: “had to advocate and ask for a coordinator to get the return time.”
6/27/2024, party of 4 (3 adults, 1 minor): “spoke to CM and she informed me there were NO accommodations. She said DAS is the accommodation, despite me telling her we had to leave the line the last time we were there. I had to ask for a ride coordinator. That person said she had no problem letting us go through the LL.”
6/29/2024, party of 3 adults, 1 disabled w/ ECV: “Cast member seemed annoyed when I asked what accommodation they could provide if I were to have an issue in the queue. I was… told my husband could leave me and get assistance if u could not exit the queue due the to ECV.”
7/1/2024, party of 2 (1 adult, 1 minor, both disabled), Survey respondent indicated that they were told no accommodations available at this attraction.
7/15/2024, party of 3 (2 disabled): “The first cast member I spoke to wasn’t able to understand what I was asking for and sent me ahead in the line. Before I went into the building I went and spoke to another cast member and she set me up with a return time in the Lightening lane to meet up with my party. Once my party got to a put (?) I could meet them I headed in through the LL que.”
7/18/2024, party of 2 (1 disabled, 1 caregiver): “We asked if we could turn our VQ into a lightning lane for Guardians which is what I had always done with my DAS. For that ride we were actually riding with a family with a person who did qualify for DAS, and when I asked if we could join them as my accommodation we were told that was not a possibility. We were offered for my husband to stand in the stand by line and text me when he got to the first room and wait for me to join him before entering, while the other [party] could use their DAS and wait in the loading room if they wanted to ride with us, but they could not add 2 more people to their DAS even though that was my accommodation. We ended up not riding and waited for them.”

I had a boarding group return time and when my group was called I walked to the DAS/Rider Swap umbrellas. I went up to a CM and explained that I was denied from das but had some issues with waiting in line. Both the CM and Cord that assisted me as I explained were very understanding. They asked how many party members I had then quickly offered the return to que. Though, when they offered I was immediately asked if I felt comfortable with thus accommodation. When I responded no the CM was more then happy to give us a individual ride return time. I was so [thankful] especially after my experience at Remy’s.”

7/19/2024, party of 1 disabled adult, Survey respondent indicated that they were told no accommodations available at this attraction. “Soarin CMs did not agree to provide return time. Did not end up riding as standby line was too long with no restrooms in the queue.”
Week of 8/2/24, Party of 3 (1 disabled with a personal wheelchair, 1 minor): “Soarin we had a problem with return to queue as we tried to return there was a family that formed a line across the area and would not allow people past. One man who was trying to return to his party too tried to get past and the guy pushed him back and yelled so we just stayed where we were. I guess with this new accommodation we saw quite a few people get upset over that option so we just decided if we saw that there might be an issue we just remained behind.”
8/6/24, party of 4, 1 disabled, no mobility devices – “For any attractions that had over a 30 minute wait, I asked the CM if it would be okay if I stepped out of line if I had a medical emergency, then rejoined my party once I felt better. I specifically asked the CM at each ride if it was okay that if once my party reached the Lightning Lane merge, they would call me to return to the queue. Each CM was surprisingly understanding and allowed me to do so. I asked if I need a paper pass or anything but the CM said that as long as I came back at a reasonable time, they would let me through the LL line since they remembered what I looked like.”
