We arrived home Monday morning. I am not particularly thrilled with this news. The household is slowly shifting back to the real world, everyday, boring stuff… but we’re hitting every roadblock on the way down.
We’re not fully unpacked yet, and everyone here has some sort of “sick” going on since about 24 hours after we got back. The toddler has a cough and runny nose, my wife and I both are having a symptoms of a stomach bug. There hasn’t been much in the way of energy to do stuff. I did manage to get laundry from the trip moving, but that’s really about it for now.
We’re supposed to have a small birthday party later this weekend for the toddler, whose actual birthday took place while we were in Florida. However, I’m not even sure that’s going to be happening as planned because we don’t want to get anyone else sick. We may have to postpone it.
Aside from that, I’ve just been going through trip photos and trying to get stuff ready to share from the trip blog-wise. There are some other projects I’m working on as well that have absolutely nothing to do with my love for all things Disney, and as soon as I’m feeling better I should have some time/energy to put into those too. We’re talking camping trips, finishing the planner design I’m working on, some upcoming homeschool stuff… Just currently trying to hold it together until everyone is over whatever this is.
And of course, you know I’m already looking at when we might be able to make our next Disney trip happen. We’re considering doing an adults-only trip next – my kids are great and they love Disney as much as the rest of us, but for some things (like recording video showing how restraints work on different attractions, or reviewing some of the pricier restaurants, or go-go-going until we drop) it’s easier to do without the kids (who get bored waiting, tired of walking, and barely pick at their food at table service restaurants). We aren’t sure when this next trip will be, but I’ll keep you posted when we get it nailed down.
