General Announcements
- 70th anniversary of Imagineering – Dec 16 2022.
- “100 Years of Wonder” kicking off on New Years Rockin’ Eve
- Duffy and Friends are getting a Disney + series next year.
Disneyland Resort in California
- Mando and Grogu in person starting in Mid-November at Galaxy’s Edge
- Hulk came out. Will be at Avengers Campus next week.
- The Multiverse is coming to an upcoming Avengers Campus expansion. New attraction where guests “battle alongside Avengers against villains”. Will introduce a new villain – a King Thanos from the Multiverse.
- Pacific Wharf is becoming San Fransokyo (from Big Hero 6) and will feature a Baymax meet and greet.
- Paradise Pier Hotel being re-imagined to Pixar Place Hotel
- Downtown Disney – more than a dozen new and re-imagined locations
- RunDisney races coming back to California in 2024
- Toontown – Runaway Railway is coming to El Capitoon Theatre with changes to fit Toontown better. Donald’s boat is coming back to the “Goofy’s How to Play Yard”. Toontown reopens in early 2023.
- Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be opening at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort in late 2024. The original voices for Prince Naveen, Louis, Mama Odie, and Princess Tiana are coming back to add their voices to the attraction. Anika Noni Rose came on stage and sang “Almost There” and “Dig a Little Deeper” for the audience.
- 100 Years of Wonder Announcements: “Magic Happens” parade is coming back. Two new nighttime spectaculars starting in January: “Wondrous Journeys” at Disneyland and “World of Color – One” at Disney’s California Adventure.
Walt Disney World Resort in Florida
- “Happily Ever After” coming back to Magic Kingdom next year.
- All-new nighttime spectacular coming to Epcot for the 100 Years celebration starting later next year.
- Journey of Water and World Celebration will be opening in late 2023
- Figment is getting a meet and greet.
- The Hatbox Ghost is coming to the Magic Kingdom next year.
- TRON: Lightcycle Run is opening Spring 2023. (Likely not going to be size-friendly if the cars are all the same as the TRON: Lightcycle Power Run in Shanghai)
- BLUE SKY: Animal Kingdom – Dinoland re-imagining is being discussed. Concepts include Zootopia and Moana. Moana-themed land concept art was shown.
- BLUE SKY: Magic Kingdom – sounds like maybe a Frontierland expansion into areas themed on Coco and Encanto. VILLAINS LAND?! Concept art is AMAZING.
Disney Cruise Line
- New design concept for the upcoming 6th ship, the Disney Treasure: Adventure. Grand Hall is going to pull from Aladdin.
- Disney Wonder going to start cruises in Australia and New Zealand. Fiji and Samoa are some destinations
- New Disney-Owned Cruise Destination: Lighthouse Point in the Bahamas.
Disneyland Paris
- DLP 30th Anniversary running through September 2023.
- “Pixar: We Belong Together” stage show coming to Walt Disney Studios.
- Frozen land at Walt Disney Studios will down a new promenade.
- Frozen themed suites coming to the hotel in 2024.
- New Tangled-theme attraction coming for all ages.
Tokyo Disney Resort
- DisneySea just wrapped up 20 years
- Tokyo Disneyland coming up to their 40th anniversary
- Frozen land is also coming to Tokyo, along with Tangled and Peter Pan to a new area called “Fantasy Springs”.
- A new in-park hotel is coming.
- Space Mountain re-imagining begins in 2024. Will be complete by 2027. Looks gorgeous.
Shanghai Disney Resort
- Discussed the upcoming Zootopia land.
Hong Kong Disneyland Resort
- New Walt and Mickey statue. Frozen theme land “World of Frozen” with new coaster “Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs”. Opening in 2nd half of 2023.
